Artist Statement
Teresa Rench is a contemporary artist whose work delves into the unseen—exploring emotions, culture, and the hidden essence of her subjects.
Using encaustics as her primary medium, she employs wax, fire, and carving tools to create depth and texture, while blending techniques from oils and mosaics.
Her innovative "trenching" method bridges the aesthetic of mosaics with encaustics, offering a dynamic fusion of mediums. Teresa’s use of recycled materials adds a thought-provoking dimension, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary and inviting viewers to see beauty where they least expect it.
